Recent Live Music & Event Projects
A selection of our recently completed projects for International clients.
We have recently completed a number of ambitious projects for InterContinental
Hotel properties in Qatar, Dubai and Egypt. Our work has involved supplying the best
solo performers, duos, club DJs, live bands and steel pan musicians to various outlets
within the above properties, not to mention live entertainers for the ICH group's
New Year events!
Understanding the ICH group's aims & objectives has been crucial to the success of these
projects. We continue to make ongoing recommendations for events and residencies to the group’s management
team, which is all part of the service offered to our clients.
We were asked by Samih Sawiris to find 'the best live jazz musicians' for the VIP launch of
his new Yacht Club - located within the new marina of presitgious Orascom Red Sea resort,
El Gouna. In order to not dissapoint, we brought in none other than legendary FUNKGURUS
Philadelphia musician/composer and PLATINUM selling producer - Junius Bervine
famous for working with Prince, P Diddy, Snoop Dog, Lauryn Hill and Earth Wind & Fire to name but a few.
June and his band entertained guests throughout the evening with rendidtions of
the best jazz, soul and blues music - most of which he had either composed or played
on during the recordings!
We recently participated in the filming of the new 'Booty Luv' music video,
on behalf of leading International music production company 'The Industry Sound'.
FUNKGURUS were asked to provide regional production support to the project, which
consisted of providing film and audio equipment, extras and film locations.
With many millions of record sales, hit films and multiple chart topping singles,
'The Industry Sound's collective credits include, Maroon 5, U2, J-Lo, Booty Luv, Justin Timberlake,
Britney Spears & Michael Jackson. Such organisational support is just one of the many services we are able to provide
to music and media companies.
Our brief for the launch of the Kempinski Hotel Cairo Jazz Club was simple. 'Provide world-class
jazz performers' for the launch events and 'the best European resident jazz, soul
& blues performers' thereafter. We truly surpassed ourselves for the club
launch by providing none other than premier FUNKGURUS RnB vocalist 'Crystal Petit-Night' from
Atlanta, to perform alongside pianist June Bervine, guitarist Fred Petit and Saxophonist
Craig Hume. The residencies were ably taken care of by British jazz pianist vocalist
Nina Zagorski, who delighted hotel guests each evening at the ‘Floor 10’ jazz bar
to the best International jazz, soul, blues & pop.
