Two leading lights of the British jazz scene – composer, arranger and trombonist Callum Au and internationally renowned, multi-award-winning vocalist Claire Martin OBE – join forces to offer ‘The Art of Swing’, an unforgettable evening celebrating the golden age of jazz.

In an evening featuring Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Porter, Bennett and more, Claire Martin brings her rich vocal sound and deep musicality to timeless classics made famous by the great divas of jazz—Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Sarah Vaughan, and Billie Holiday. Rising star arranger, conductor, and virtuoso trombonist Callum Au leads the orchestra with his fresh, sophisticated arrangements, breathing new life into swing standards. In a special tribute to George Gershwin, Callum also steps into the spotlight with a stunning trombone feature.

Together with exceptional orchestras such as the RTÉ Concert, the BBC Symphony, the Callum Au Orchestra, and others, these two masterful artists deliver a joyful and heartfelt tribute to Swing, proving that this beloved music is still alive and more thrilling than ever. The Art of Swing follows on from Callum and Claire’s critically acclaimed album, ‘Songs and Stories’, which featured a total of 82 exceptional musicians, from the UK, Europe and the USA in a stunningly arranged selection of jazz standards and American Songbook classics.

Claire Martin, awarded the OBE for her services to jazz, is a much-celebrated international singer, equally at home in sold-out concerts on the big stages, such as the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, with a symphony orchestra, as well as regular appearances at intimate, top jazz clubs, including London’s Ronnie Scott’s and New York’s Dizzy’s.

Over the past fifteen years, Callum Au has established himself as one of the busiest arrangers and orchestrators in Europe. He has had the privilege of writing music for many international artists, including Quincy Jones, Jamie Cullum, and Randy Brecker, and ensembles including the SWR Big Band, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Britten Sinfonia.
